Astorg - Gazing at the Hypnotic Water Gleams
The acoustic chords starting the track sound very beautiful and we get some strings in the background that aren't overpowering but add great depth to the track. The track really flows beautifully as we start to hear more structure coming into place. This is a track that tells a story completely through instrumentation. We get bits and pieces of electric guitar gleaming through the mix that was a really nice touch.
Syrkander - Sola Fide
Im always interested to hear one man projects and here we have one from Chile. The track opens with alot of haunting sounding synth and ghostly vocals which quickly turns into an onslaught of brutal vocals and fast , vicious riffs. This track blends elements of black and death metal with alot of atmospheric sounds in the mix. The vocals are dark and powerful. I would say this is a great , heavy one man band that i would recommend. Around 4 minutes there is a killer guitar solo that really lightens up the song for a moment. Very well written track that would be good for heavy playlists.
SAME PAINS - death's adore
This one is from Australia! Straight away you can tell this track is going to be super heavy. The vocals kick in quick with tons of aggression. Instrumentally this track is all over the place in the best ways possible. We even get a "BLEGH" in here which is always nice to hear. These riffs and vocals are slamming. So much good use of dissonance on these guitars and vocals. Vocally this track just screams agony, pain and anger. These breakdowns are killer. Its hard not to bang your head during this one. The vocalist also shows brief but nice clear vocals that really build on the melodic areas of this track.
Amerakin Overdose - My Endless Battle
I personally haven't heard one song from these guys that i did not enjoy! this is a softer track that will hit you right in the feels but the lyrical content is super heavy. Speaking heavily on mental struggles. The acoustics sounds amazing on this track, these guys are super talented and can easily switch between heavy nu metal style songs and beautifully written compositions. This track has serious radio potential. The video is really well shot, its simple, dynamic and colorful. Overall its just a really enjoyable tune.
Stoneberized - Smash it!
This one is heavy in such a funky way. This track has groove , bounce and thick riffs. This track screams funk metal. The vocals are delivered in a fast , rap like cadence. The chorus showcases some really heavy guttural vocals. The switch between vocal styles sounds really good. These guitar tones are super fun. We slow down a bit towards the end and get super heavy, the track makes you want to smash things! This band is from Belgium , the track is pretty unique! I recommend it for those who like funky , nu metal kind of tracks.
